ORCHA Baseline Review

The ORCHA Baseline Review (OBR) is a robust digital health assessment that underpins a large proportion of the world’s national and regional digital accreditation models.

Our OBR assessment looks at a digital health technology’s nature and purpose, and identifies which of the 350+ criteria points it meets across Clinical/Professional Assurance, Data & Privacy, and Usability & Accessibility. The review comprises nationally recognised digital health standards and regulations. ORCHA’s algorithm looks at how appropriately the technology meets the relevant and compulsory standards, producing an objective and independent score.

ORCHA assessment provides independent verification and certification, which is trusted and accepted by health and care organisations internationally.

Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (UK)

Developed by NHSX, the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) for health and social care is a new advisory assessment criteria for the commissioning of digital health technologies.

Meeting the standard is a requirement for all digital products which are commissioned by NHS groups. At ORCHA, our team of Digital Health Assessors can work with you to assess your compliance with the standard and give you any necessary recommendations.

The DTAC covers Clinical Safety, Data Protection, Technical Security, Interoperability, and Usability & Accessibility. We can help guide you through the process of meeting the key criteria in each of these sections.

The Digital Health Assessment Framework (US)

The Digital Health Assessment Framework is an open framework, accessible for anyone to use, to support the adoption of high-quality digital health technologies and help healthcare professionals and patients in the US to make better-informed decisions about which digital health tools best suit their needs.

The Framework includes criteria to assess for privacy and security, clinical assurance and safety, and usability. It was crafted to guidelines, regulations and best practices specific to the US for digital health technologies. It includes both the relevant existing US regulations and measures from international standards and frameworks.

Leading bodies across the US, including The American College of Physicians and the American Telemedicine Association, collaborated with industry leaders, including ORCHA, to develop the Framework. Nordic Digital Health Evaluation Criteria (Nordics)

Accelerating the Nordic region’s aim to be the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world by 2030, the Nordic Digital Health Evaluation Criteria (NordDEC) is the world’s first cross-border digital health accreditation system.

Drawing from international best practice, the NordDEC establishes a common benchmark of criteria across Denmark,  Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, offering the ability to layer-on local requirements, while using size and scale to attract inward investment into the Nordic nations.

The NordDEC is an extremely robust digital health assurance system, testing products against more than 500 measures across data privacy, clinical/professional assurance, usability & accessibility, security & technical stability, and interoperability.

The NordDEC project is owned by the Nordic Interoperability Project (N!P), co-funded by Nordic Innovation and Nordic healthtech industry, and provided by ORCHA.
